Product Sector

At CMS Danskin Acoustics, we deliver proven noise and vibration control solutions across Building Acoustics, Anti-Vibration, Leisure Acoustics, Interior Acoustics, and Technical & Industrial Acoustics. Our specialist products and technical expertise help designers, specifiers and contractors meet acoustic regulations, enhance wellbeing, and create high-performance spaces in every type of building.

Anti-Vibration:

In the most basic terms, anti-vibration is the prevention of vibration from a source into a building structure. Whether at home or in the workplace, for people and structures, it is undesirable to be subjected to vibration and structure borne noise. It is well documented that vibration can have adverse health effects on people and vibration can cause long term damage to buildings and other structures.

CMS Danskin Acoustics, in partnership with REGUPOL and Kinetics Noise Control have a number of solutions to help prevent unwanted structure borne noise and vibration and are happy to help at the design stage of your project to come up with the most suitable solutions.

Building Acoustics:

Building acoustics is the science of controlling noise in buildings. This includes the reduction of impact and airborne noise transmission from one space to another to meet Building Regulations such as Approved Document E. Building acoustics are an important consideration in the design, operation and construction of most buildings, and can have a significant impact on health and wellbeing. CMS Danskin Acoustics can assist you on your project to help select and provide test evidence for acoustic floor, wall and ceiling products.

Interior Acoustics:

CMS Danskin Acoustics SuperPhon range of absorption products are manufactured in house and are often made bespoke to suit the needs of the project. Sound absorption in rooms is required as this reduces the amount of sound that reflects back and forth within a room or space which can last for a number of seconds. If you have a busy environment with lots of speech such as a school classroom or restaurant, this can lead to issues like difficulty in listening to a speaker or a group you might be dining out with.

Leisure Acoustics:

The leisure industry has expanded in recent years particularly with gyms becoming more widespread across the country. As well as standalone gyms, many new mixed-use projects also include residential, retail spaces, gyms, cinema rooms, bowling lanes, bars, clubs and restaurants and other leisure activities. This brings with it challenges to control the noise generated in these areas to prevent disturbances to other more noise sensitive areas of a building such as noise from dropped weights, bowling balls, sound and bass created in cinemas and hotels with events and exhibition spaces.

CMS Danskin Acoustics are happy to assist specifiers at design stage and provide test evidence and advice to help in ensuring a suitable level of performance is achieved. Room in room strategies are often adopted in many of these scenarios which includes decoupled floors, walls and ceilings.

Technical & Industrial Acoustics:

Manufactured by CMS Danskin Acoustics, our lagging brands Superlag® and Muftilag® are well known throughout the industry. Combining absorptive materials, mass layers and outer protection, our lagging products are independently tested for acoustic and fire performance. Industrial and power plants are places of work subjected to high sources of noise from plant, equipment and ductwork, our lagging products can help to reduce noise outbreak to acceptable levels.
